Ellen Bryan was crowned Miss Ohio 2011 on June 18, 2011 in Mansfield, Ohio. The Miss Ohio Scholarship Program is part of the Miss America Organization. Along with the title of Miss Ohio, Ellen won the finalist interview award. Her total scholarship earnings from the Miss America Organization total more than $30,000.

This January, Ellen competed for the title of Miss America 2012 at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas. She was a Quality of Life Finalist and also received the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Medal Award.

Ellen will spend her year as Miss Ohio traveling the state and country promoting her personal platform of "Lightning Safety and Awareness" and the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, which is the national platform for the Miss America Organization.
